The Global College of Neuroprotection
and Neuroregeneration
3rd Annual Meeting
was held in the Swedish
city of Uppsala.
Uppsala - Sweden's centre
of science and research
Uppsala is the fourth largest
city in Sweden, with a steadily increasing population of around
190,000, but retains the charm of a small town while offering major
urban opportunities and attractions. The city counts two universities
and has a solid base of knowledge and tradition from which to progress.
At the same time, the atmosphere is youthful, with more than 40,000
university students adding a substantial exuberance to the atmosphere.
Uppsala offers the opportunity
to discover:
Sweden's oldest botanical gardens
(Linnéträdgården)
the largest cathedral
in Scandinavia

one of Sweden's most
famous locations of prehistoric artifacts (Old Uppsala)

the oldest university
in Scandinavia (founded in 1477)

and many more marvellous
sites and attractions.
Uppsala is a small town with
the pulse of a big city, and where hotels, conference facilities,
restaurants, shopping malls and attractions are all within walking
distance of one another.
It is located only 30
minutes to Stockholm Arlanda International Airport, and only 2 -
3 hour flights to most major European cities
The 2006 Conference
will take place in the Atrium, Konferens & Bankett
